Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 20- My Creation

Well after an exhausting week and another busy weekend, I finally finished this challenge a day late! I went back to 1998, and have scrapbooked some photos of my gorgeous sister and her friends dancing at an eisteddfod at Bankstown RSL. I used retired Designer Series Paper "Newsprint", and the colour I added to Basic Black and Very Vanilla was Real Red. I also used a retired stamp set "In The Stars" which is one I just can't seem to part with; and a retired punch that makes a paper binding pattern which I like to use to create film strips. I added the film strip to the right hand edge of the layout, allowing me to fit another 8 smaller photos in of the actual dance performance. It made me remember how much I used to enjoy seeing my little sister dance!
Here are some close ups of the photos and film strip:

Have a good week! Don't forget to have a look at Adele's and Maree's blogs too!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 18- My Creation

This one was such a fun sketch to do! I started out with the brightest colour scheme I could think of for a fun little boys page, as I wanted to use my new Stampin' Up! Stamp Set "I DIG YOU". Then I remembered I had some photos of our pool being dug that I hadn't got around to scrapbooking yet. So here it is!
Don't forget to see what Adele and Maree created!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 18

Our Challenge this week is to use the following sketch from Inspired Blueprints:
There are no restrictions on colour or stamp sets, so it will be extra interesting to see what Adele, Maree & I come up with!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 17- My Creation

I loved using my new Stampin' Up! Stamp Set "DINOROAR" for this layout- the dinosaurs are so cute! For this Challenge, we had to use the new In Colours: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral; paired with a sketch from the Colour Room. The sketch had buttons on it, and as I didn't have any matching ones, I cut buttons out of cardstock with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I also added a few small pieces of Designer Series Paper from the "Cheerful Treat" Hostess pack. Here is my creation (just need to do title, journalling and add photos):
DINOROAR!
Hope you like it and have a great week! Don't forget to look at Maree's and Adele's Creations too!

Stamp & Scrap Club

On Friday the 28th of October, I will be starting a new round of Stamp & Scrap Club. This is where a lovely group of 6-8 ladies come to my house every 6 weeks to learn some new techniques, make a scrapbook layout, and take home a bundle of Stampin' up! products to keep creating at home! They pay $50 each time, but take home $50 worth of products; and also learn new techniques and take home project idea sheets for free too. I order our bundles together, so the total order qualifies for $50 worth of free Stampin' Up! products; and each time we meet one member of our group gets to choose the products they would like for free. We meet 6-8 times (depending on how many are in the group) so everyone gets a turn at being the hostess and picking the freebies. And finally, my favourite part is that we have a night of fun together and get time out from our busy schedules and have a child-free night. If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, email me on litlrach75@gmail.com (I can fit 2 more people in this round), or if you have your own group of 6-8 friends we can start your own group and get together at your place or mine!
Our first round will be focussing on DISTRESSING TECHNIQUES using Stampin' Up!'s Distressing Kit (that will be in your bundle of goodies to take home!!!). I have designed the following layout based on a card that featured in Stampin' Up!'s August Issue of Impressions Magazine for Demonstrators. I am really happy with the results, and have included some close up photos to show you the details of all the embellishments. Hope to see you soon!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 17

For the challenge this week we are going back to the wonderful Palettes from the clever girls in The Color Room and we have chosen Palette #34 – His Room which looks like this......
A close up of the sketch reveals:

Vibrant, fresh and very IN COLOURS wouldn’t you say!!! Yes, you guessed it this could be a layout consisting of the following wonderful NEW inColours for 2011-2013:
And the most exciting part is that we have FREE CHOICE of stamp set to compliment our layout...again!! Woohoohoo! Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Adele  and Maree!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 16- My Creation

Well- here is my creation- a day late!!! We had such a full-on weekend that I was too exhausted to finish it and post it yesterday. Hope you like it- it is SOME of the photos of the Party we had to celebrate my brother and sister-in-law's wedding last year- and it will be their first Anniversary in 2 days: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DAN & AMANDA! xxxx
If you didn't get a chance to yesterday, click on their names to see what Adele & Maree have created!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 16

We are a bit late posting the challenge this week, but, here it is!
This week we are revisiting the sketch we used in CTTC#11 and adding the new ‘Well Worn’ Designer Series Papers to the challenge. The Well Worn DSP pack is a gorgeous combination of the following colours from the Stampin’ Up! Regal and Neutral collections:

The sketch we used – then and again now - is from the talented Becky Fleck – this is designed as an 8 ½ “ x 11” layout but can easily be adapted to 12”x12”.

And the most exciting part is that we have FREE CHOICE of stamp set to compliment our layout!! Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Adele and Maree!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 15- My Creation

I really enjoyed doing this one- loved the sketch so much it was so easy to use! I used the red and white star print and the red, turquoise and white striped print papers from the Stampin' Up! Big Top Birthday Designer Series paper. I added Night Of Navy and Always Artichoke to the mix to change the layout from a bright birthday one to a more formal one, to suit my photos of the boys "All Dressed Up" in the outfits we bought for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding last year. I have used the Pennants Punch to make my flags hanging down, and made faux stitching using white gel pen. Hope you like it! Have a look at Maree's and Adele's Creations too!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 15

This week our challenge is to use layout 61 from the clever ladies from Inspired Blueprints (below)
and incorporate Stampin' Up's new Big Top DSP along with Stampin' Up's new Pennant Punch. Both these products are beautifully displayed on pages 32 and 33 of the 2011-2012 Ideas Book & Catalogue.
The colours in the paper pack are as follows:
Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Real Red, Peach Parfait, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White
I'm excited about this one- my parcel of new products just arrived, so I can't wait to get stuck into it!!!!

Don't forget to check back next Monday to see the outcome of the challenge, and always check Adele and Maree's blogs because that is part of the fun!! Have a great week xx

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge 14- My Creation

I decided to scrapbook the photos of a family Lawn Bowls game when we were up north for my brother and sister-in-laws wedding last October. I ended up with two double layouts- and that was after culling half the photos and majorly trimming all the remaining ones! I cut the words "bowls" and "green" from the lawn pieces trimmed off the photos. Hope you like them!

On The Green

Don't forget to hop on over to Adele's and Maree's blogs to check out their creations!
