Scrapbooking Workshop- Suitable for absolute beginners!

Have you ever wanted to try Scrapbooking?
Or are you a seasoned Scrapbooker looking for new ideas?
Or do you need a fun night out with other crafty people?

Starting on Saturday the 9th of June, I will be holding a scrapbooking workshop every six weeks. I will have two different layouts available, and you can complete one for $20; or two for $35. All you need to bring is your photos, and I will provide a kit of materials needed to complete a double 12x12” Layout. I will demonstrate step by step, and you follow to complete the layout. Then you add your photos and your own personalised heading to complete your layout. When you go home, you will take 2 beautiful scrapbook pages with you, ready to put straight into a scrapbook album to preserve your families’ memories and to share with your loved ones!

This time I have chosen a baby- themed layout and a mother's day layout. I have done the baby one in a boy and a girl colour scheme. Please note in the photos, I have changed the girls one from baby to a general girly layout to show you how flexible the layout can be. The Mother's day one also can be for any event you wish- all you need to do is change your title!

Stamp & Scrap Club #6- Spritzing, Sponging and Smooching

The final get together for this round of Stamp & Scrap Club is on Friday the 25th May, 2012 at 7:30pm. We will be having fun exploring the techniques of Spritzing, Sponging and Smooching. We will be creating a double 12x12" Scrapbook layout and two cards using these fun techniques.

The layout explores using gold and silver smooch spritz on black cardstock, and stamping with white ink to create a lovely night sky effect. This layout I am going to use for photos of my son dressed up for his school book week parade. Other ideas that could be used by simply changing the rocket stamp and/or the yellow to another colour include: New years eve/ Fireworks; Dance Concerts; Disco photos, etc.

The two cards we will make will explore the techniques of sponging with inks and spritzing with markers; as well as using punches as masks to create interesting effects.

This will be our last meeting for Stamp & Scrap Club. Please let me know if you are interested in joining our lovely Stamp & Scrap Group. We meet every 6 weeks and try out new techniques and use them to create Scrapbook Layouts and cards. There is a committment of $50 each time we meet, and we meet 6-8 times (depending on how many join the group). Each time you go home with a co-ordinated bundle of Stampin' Up! goodies worth $50 to use at home; and each person gets a turn at being the "hostess" and selecting $50 worth of products free.
